Although I am known (and sponsored) for kayak fishing on a sit-on-top-kayak, my love for the sport of kayaking grew from paddling sea kayaks or "sit-insides" as they are now popularly called. Kayaking in it's own right is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways to spend a day on the water and a great portion of the kayaking I do is actually without fishing gear, in my Necky Chatham 16 perfecting my paddle stroke and boat handling skills and sometimes even scouting fish for my guide trips. Paddling is not only a major element of kayak fishing, but a joy in it's own right. I would encourage you, the kayak angler, to learn all that you can about it.

As an ACA Certified kayak guide, I can put together a custom day or overnight paddle trip for you. I am also well suited to guide those interested in nature photography and bird watching or those just interested in seeing the wilder side to Florida by kayak. The silent approach of a kayak will get you much closer to wildlife than a boat will allow.

I also offer Kayak Meditation Yoga Trips in which I team up with Kimberly Braun, a well-known and highly-regarded meditation and restorative yoga instructor and retreat facilitator. These are health and education oriented trips in which the goal is relaxation, fitness, paddling skills, and stress reduction. These day trips will be offered in different locations, to limited class sizes, on limited dates. If you have a large number of people (6 to 12), Kim and I can put together a special trip for you and can accomodate both clubs and corporate groups.
